In this guided practice, we will extend our awareness to encompass our local, national, and global communities.



Script

Meditate on your own or with a group

  • Sit in a position that is comfortable for you.
  • Take a deep breath, and notice the inhalation and exhalation as you begin to bring awareness to this practice and your intention to extend awareness.
  • As we begin, sense into the space around you.
  • Simply be aware of the space in the room or environment you are in. Feel the space between you, objects, doors...
  • Now, zoom out and view the house or space you’re in from an aerial view. See the few cars driving by. 
  • Next, zoom out further and see the town or city you live in.
  • Next, zoom out further and see the expansive land of the country.
  • Next, zoom out even further and see the Earth. 
  • Recognize the many inhabitants of this awesome planet, and know that you are not alone. 
  • Rest here in an expanded awareness.
