Guided Meditation

Welcome to Ocean Meditation. In this exercise, we will explore the ways in which guided imagery of an ocean can ground us in the present moment.



Script

Meditate on your own or with a group

  1. Settle into a comfortable posture.
  2. Breathing in, calming the body. Breathing out, with a smile.
  3. Follow your natural cadence of breath.
  4. With curiosity, let the "problem solver" take a rest.
  5. Now, become aware of sensations in your body. Truly feel into the different areas in your body. 
  6. Now, feel your body as a whole and maintain a loving awareness of the body.
  7. Now, extend your awareness outside of your body, and feel as though there is a vast ocean of awareness.
  8. Feel into this ocean of awareness, and imagine the waves of past and future coming and going.
  9. Waves made only of water, or awareness.
  10. Invite this ocean to wash over you, flowing throughout each part of your body and filling your heart with love.
  11. Rest here in this ocean of awareness.
