Welcome to Ascension: One Community for One Mission

This session invites you to pause and reflect on your new role, grow in a sense of belongingness, and deepen your awareness of the shared Mission and Values which unite us across Ascension.

  • Audience

    All new associates hired within Ascension, as well as rehires whose separation has been six months or longer.

  • Time

    Attendance is required within 30 days of hire.

  • Delivery

    Online and in-person options available.

As a healing ministry, we care for the whole person – body, mind, and spirit. In this session, we will explore the distinctive 'why' inspiring our approach to care, the important role you play, and our commitment to those we serve and serve alongside.

Program Design

To offer a common welcome, introduction to Mission, Vision, Values, ministry identity, and story of Ascension for all new associates and affiliated partners

Recognize that the organization values each associate as a whole person with unique gifts

Acknowledge the Values and demonstrate aligned behaviors

Identify the local history and its connection to ministry identity and the strategy of Ascension as an integrated national ministry

Build relationships through connections to our work, ourselves, and one another, in community

Find personal meaning in the Mission and its connection to one's own work

Gain a foundational understanding of the Ascension Mission and ministry identity

Increase associate belonging and cultural integration
