Ascension Mission

The season of Advent is a time of reflection, preparation, and solemn waiting for the coming of Christ into the world. Many Christian traditions use the Advent wreath and the lighting of candles (one for each week leading up to Christmas Day) to symbolize the coming of the true “Light of the World,” Jesus Christ. 

Each day during Advent we have the opportunity to open ourselves to the healing and loving Light of Christ through scripture, meditation, daily prayer, and a way to take action and live more boldly in our lives. 

May the Light of Christ shine more brightly within us this Advent season!
